Free tech pack

We write the tech pack. You keep it.

Tell us what you want made and we write the tech pack for it: measurements, materials, construction and finishing, in the form a factory can quote from. Free, and yours to take anywhere.

Why we do this for nothing

Most brands that write to us cannot start, because no factory will quote without a spec. Writing it is an hour of our time and it is the hour that decides whether a project exists. If you take the tech pack elsewhere, that is yours to do. We are paid on production, not on paperwork.

An estimate is fine. Our minimum is 25 pieces per style.

What a tech pack contains

A tech pack is the document a factory quotes and sews from. Without one, every quote you collect is priced against a different garment, and the samples come back as four different products.

A measurement chart

Every dimension that defines the fit, at the base size, with the tolerance the factory is held to. This is the part that decides whether the sample comes back as the garment you pictured.

Materials and trims

Fabric, composition and weight in GSM, plus thread, labels, drawcords, zips and buttons. Named specifically enough that two factories quoting it are quoting the same garment.

Construction

Which seams, which stitches, where the garment is reinforced and how it is finished. The difference between a piece that survives a season and one that does not.

Artwork and placement

Prints and embroidery at size, positioned and measured from a fixed point, with the method named. A logo described in words gets placed differently by every factory that reads it.

Two things a tech pack has to name, and the pages that settle them:

How heavy the fabric should be, in GSMWhat production costs per piece
